The process starts with a thorough examination of your specific feeding or automation needs. Each quote begins by doing the homework necessary to find the most practical solution for your application. Our research will include a review of your proposals, if any, and a discussion by qualified engineers with years of experience in the automation industry.

In some cases we contact suppliers of specific products that will be integrated into a custom system designed to make your process more efficient. This is done in advance of our quote and at no charge or obligation to you.

For example, a customer came to us with a request for an automated engraving station. They had already contacted the engraver supplier (Newing-Hall) and were satisfied with the capabilities of the model chosen for their project needs.

actiOn feed systems successfully provided part feeding via one feeder bowl (high volume component) and one hand loaded magazine (low volume component), fixturing, programming and integration of the purchased engraver and customer supplied pc, into an automated engraving station.

This process was formerly done by an operator hand loading and unloading fixtures for a programmable pin stamper. Once the engraver is ‘zeroed’ into a set point at the correct position (one for each of the two components), the operator simply pulls up the appropriate job file, quantity needed and starts the engraver. While the parts are being engraved, the operator is free to do other tasks.

Semi-automated stations

We can also provide semi-automated, operator activated assembly stations. This small pneumatic press station is used to assemble a shaft, gear and ‘C’ clip that will later become part of a more complex hydraulic pump unit. Since there are multiple part styles, guage blocks are used to make accurate change-overs.
